Practice Areas

During the practice period of nearly 12 years in commercial and legal field, Steven handled approximately 1,000 cases, which covered nearly all aspects of intellectual property rights, including but not limit to records of intellectual property rights at China General Customs, filing applications for corresponding protection, software copyright records, trademark infringement, licensing and assignment; patent infringements relating to invention, utility model, and design patents, licensing and assignment of patent rights, copyright  infringement, unfair competition cases, technical contract dispute and so forth.

In addition, Steven also handles labor dispute cases, transfer of share and assets of companies, M&A, establishment of foreign invested companies in China as well as other civil and commercial contentious and non-contentious work.

Steven’s clients are from a diverse range of industries, including fast consuming goods, luxury goods, automotive, electronics, telecommunications, solar energy, software, information technologies, and internet-related businesses.

Work experience

Steven joined SCIHEAD & PARTNERS in December 2010.

Prior to this, he served at Shanghai Tang Weilian Law Firm (STW) and also Shanghai Thompson Market Services Ltd Guangzhou Branch. 

Steven obtained his LL.B. from China Xiangtan University in 2000, and was granted qualification of Chinese lawyer, qualification of trademark attorney the same year.

Steven is proficient in English and Chinese.
